Rally condemns Barclays developer over benefits

Protesters have gathered outside the debuting Barclays Center to criticize the arena's developer over what they call failed promises.
"What we are here to say is let's remember what was promised. Ten thousand permanent jobs, 2,200 units of affordable housing, none of that is happening," said protester Daniel Goldstein. The group says developer Forrest City Ratner has reneged on promises to revitalize the community and wants new developers to come in.
Forrest City Ratner says affordable housing has not been brought to the site yet due to the recession and legal delays.
