Public transit encouraged for Jay-Z show, Barclays events
Thousands of people will descend upon the Barclays Center for the first time tonight, and officials are encouraging everyone to utilize public transportation.
Tonight, Jay-Z is performing the first of eight shows to break in the new arena. The event will test how the $76 million development and Atlantic Terminal upgrade holds up to the large crowds.
Ticket holders have nine trains and 11 bus lines to choose from to get to the arena. Parking will be very limited, which is a problem that has had area residents concerned since the center was first approved.
