Taxi riders urged to 'Look' before opening their doors

The Department of Transportation's (DOT) new "Look" campaign is expanding to the city's yellow cabs.
The Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) is putting 26,000 decals in 13,000 cabs citywide to remind passenger to look out before exiting the car. Officials say seven bicyclists have died in the past five years after slamming into opening vehicle doors.
New video on the "Look" campaign will also play on all taxi TVs, telling people to take out their boss, take out a date, but don't take out a cyclist.
"Look" posters and pavement markings have already gone up at dangerous intersections throughout the city in an effort to increase safety among pedestrians and drivers.
