MTA adding 'Help Points' for emergency aid to subway stations
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is installing new "Help Point" systems for emergency aid in more than 100 subway stations across the city.
The system will allow riders to get emergency assistance or ask for directions at the push of a button.
The MTA says the $100 million project, coupled with the new countdown clocks, is the most significant changes to the system in a generation.
