Fashion Week in Manhattan is over, but local designers are preparing to hit the runway for another big event this Thursday.
Young fashionistas at William H. Maxwell High School in East New York are putting the finishing touches on the clothes they'll premiere at Brooklyn Fashion Weekend. The students have participated in a yearlong internship that culminates at the fall show.
Each year, designers from all over the world bring their spring collections to the borough for a three-day fashion event that's like no other. Organizers say it's hip, fun and creative, with it's own Brooklyn flare. To watch extended coverage from Fashion Week, click on News 12 Extra on Optimum TV channel 612.
