Mayor Bloomberg announced that the city's first Educare school would be opening in Brownsville next year.The new school will serve to help at-risk children from 6 weeks to 5 years old to ensure that they are ready for kindergarten and beyond, and will be located inside P.S. 41.The Brownsville Educare school will also include a leadership institute to train early childhood education directors.Bloomberg also announced that the city would add 4,000 pre-kindergarten seats for the next school year.
