Kensington supermarket owner entangled in wage lawsuit

The owner of a Kensington supermarket is suing a local nonprofit group over a wage protest. Sonny Kim, who owns Golden Farms, has filed a $3 million suit against New York Communities for Change (NYCC). In it, he claims the organization's boycott of his store is an illegal disruption of business and has cost him revenue. However, officials with NYCC say Kim routinely refuses to pay overtime to his workers and will not offer paid sick leave. Kim was unavailable for comment, but the store manager says most current workers feel they are treated fairly.
