iPhone users get new alerts with iOS6

The new iOS6 was released for the iPhone Wednesday, providing users with a new technology that receives government WEAs, or Wireless Emergency Alerts.
Meteorologist Mike Favetta explains how to receive the emergency WEATHER alerts from the National Weather Service and how to take advantage of the News 12 mobile app.
The new software helps keep you clicked in with three types of alerts: Presidential alerts, which can't be turned off, Amber Alerts, and government alerts that include weather.
