Special information sessions were held throughout New York City today for immigrant business owners to inform them about their rights as business owners and to offer resources.

The events, held by the state labor department, are designed to help immigrant business owners who may have difficulty learning about resources due to a language barrier. Resources available at the events included information on loans, taxes and health insurance.

Attendees say the sessions are important for immigrants who are striving to make a living.
