2-car crash on Utica Avenue sends 4 to the hospital
Police say four people were sent to the hospital this afternoon after a two-car crash on Utica Avenue.
The accident occurred at Utica Avenue's busy intersection with Kings Highway. Investigators say two cars careened out of control, striking two pedestrians. Emergency responders say the two pedestrians were brought to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The brother of one of the drivers involved told News 12 Brooklyn that a Toyota Corolla was making a right onto Utica Avenue and collided with an SUV in the middle of the intersection. The force of the crash sent the SUV into a vacant storefront.
It is unclear where the two pedestrians were standing, but EMS says they were trapped and had to be pulled out.
