Brooklyn residents are among those who will gather in lower Manhattan to mark the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11.

Family members will read the names of nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks. The ceremony will pause for six moments of silence: twice to mark the times each plane hit the World Trade Center towers, twice for when each tower fell, and two more times for the attacks on the Pentagon and Flight 93.
