Severe weather brings flooding and power outages
A set of strong storms moved across the borough tonight bringing reports of power outages, flash flooding and funnel cloud sightings.
A tornado watch was in effect for the borough and the rest of New York City for most of the day.
Officials confirmed an EF0 tornado touched down in Breezy Point, Queens today at around 10:58 a.m. Officials also confirmed that an EF1 tornado with max estimated winds of 110 mph touched down in Canarsie earlier this morning.
