It didn't look like the New York Yankees would need a pennant race this year, but they've got one.
The Bronx Bombers went from a 10-game lead in July to just a single game lead over the Baltimore Orioles as they went up against the Tampa Bay Rays in Florida Tuesday night.
Coach Joe Girardi charged the field, getting ejected in the middle of the game, but it wasn't enough to fire up his team. The Yankees lost 5-2 while the Orioles won, creating a tie for first place.
