Prospect Park 5K raises money for Sandy relief efforts
Prospect Park reopened today with a 5K run and walk that will help benefit Sandy relief efforts.
The Alliances Walk-A-Thon and Run will raise money for the clean up and restoration of the park after Sandy caused extensive damage on Monday.
The park lost more than 300 trees and some structures have been damaged because of the storm.
More than 1,000 runners participated in the event.
