2 families displaced by fire at Flatbush home

Two families were displaced by a two-alarm fire that tore through a Flatbush home Tuesday morning.
The blaze broke out at a two-story house at 70 Martense St. just after 11 a.m. Crews say that about 150 firefighters responded to the scene. The flames were under control in about a half-hour.
Fire officials say they initially received reports of children trapped in the home, but all residents had already made their way out of the house by the time they arrived. Firefighters rescued a family dog from the burning home.
The Red Cross is currently assisting those displaced. The FDNY says they will not likely be moving back in any time soon.
There is no word on the cause of the fire.
