Bensonhurst residents complain of park disrepair
Residents in Bensonhurst are frustrated by the state of disrepair at one of their local parks.
Bensonhurst Park on Cropsey Avenue is littered with cigarette butts, shredded paper and garbage, according to one resident. Other residents list issues such as peeling paint on park benches, lingering caution tape, a boarded-up restroom, numerous tree stumps and potholes along the sidewalks.
The Parks Department says that it is making repairs to the restroom, and the tree stumps will also be removed.
There are no current plans to renovate Bensonhurst Park, but the Parks Department says it is always working with the community on ways to improve it.
