Local businesses impacted by L train repairs

With the L train closed for repairs for the next several weekends, local businesses say that they are already being impacted.

This past weekend was the first of five that the L train is not in service between Manhattan and Lorimer Street due to track repairs.

Chris Siderakis, owner of Kellogg's Diner, says that not only was his business down 20 to 25 percent because of the shutdown, but his employees also had trouble getting to and from work.

Another local business owner says that his liquor store profits were down 30 percent this past weekend.

According to the MTA, track repairs are expected to be finished by May.
