A man was fatally shot Monday afternoon on a typically quiet Cypress Hills street.
The shooting occurred at around 1 p.m. near Sheridan and McKinley avenues. Police say the victim, identified as 22-year-old Michael Tenorio, was chased by a suspect and shot several times in the legs.
Tenorio was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Police say the suspect fled in a car. There was no word yet on a motive for the shooting.
Tenorio was a resident of Cypress Hills.
