Dozens bike with borough president for Earth Day
People across the borough are opting for a greener way to get to work in honor of Earth Day, and some even joined the borough president.
Local leaders, community members and activists all strapped on their helmets for a bike ride from Prospect Park to Borough Hall to drop off Borough President Eric Adams at his office.
Adams is asking everyone to look around and think about how they can give back to the Earth, not just today, but on a daily basis. He says everyone can do small things each day that have a huge impact on the environment.
Adams also said that the bike ride brought to his attention some concerns about safety for cyclists. He says he'll be looking at ways to resolve some of the hazards he personally noticed.
