Patients and staff at Brookdale Hospital now have more options when it comes to fresh fruits and vegetables.
The Brooklyn Born Green Cart started Monday. Its goal is to bring healthy foods to neighborhoods that have limited access to them.
Kelebohile Nkhereanye, co-owner of the pop-up stand, says that she wants to keep prices affordable. She says that being close to a hospital will allow her to connect with the community.
The cart is located at Brookdale's rear entrance. It will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
