Word on the Street: Waiting in line
A new survey finds New Yorkers spend 25 percent of their shopping time waiting to pay for their groceries.
News 12 Brooklyn took to the streets to find out how long residents spend standing around when they go food shopping.
Many described waiting between 10 minutes and an hour. 
Some even offered advice on how to run errands quickly. Go early in the morning, they say.
