Bed-Stuy building catches fire after car crashes into restaurant

A fire tore through a Bedford-Stuyvesant building early Saturday morning after a car crashed into a Chinese restaurant.
Firefighters rushed to the scene of the crash at the corner of Throop and Dekalb avenues just before 4 a.m.
The restaurant is located below some apartments. Officials say the fire quickly spread from the first to the second floor of the building.
The driver of the car was taken to Kings County Hospital, and a firefighter was taken to Woodhull Hospital. Both are expected to be OK.
