Communities mark 1 year since Eric Garner death
Communities across New York City are marking the one year anniversary of Eric Garner's death with vigils and rallies.
Garner, 43, was being taken into custody for allegedly selling loose, untaxed cigarettes when Officer Daniel Panteleo placed him in an apparent chokehold. The incident was caught on a cellphone camera.
Garner died a short time later after saying "I can't breathe."
A march in Garner's honor is planned at Cadman Plaza Saturday.
