Steamy and scorching weather invaded Brooklyn Monday.
Many people along Avenue L in Canarsie did not let the hot weather slow down their daily routines. Over in Starrette City, residents took to the ice cream shops to try and stay cool.
Residents were urged to make sure to take some indoor breaks and wear sunscreen.
Temperatures heading into Tuesday will remain muggy and hot, but less humid and cooler temps are expected by Wednesday.
