Bronx teen with autism missing in Brooklyn

Family members are desperately searching for a Bronx teenager with autism who went missing while visiting a park in Brooklyn.
According to police, 15-year-old Davaion Needom, who also answers to "DJ," was last seen at Linden Park, in the East New York section of the borough, at around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The teen was in the park with his uncle, Michael McCoy, who asked him to take a seat while he walked the family dog. When he returned, McCoy says that Needom took off running. He tried to chase after him, but was unable to catch up.
The teen's family has put up fliers all over the neighborhood. They say he is not familiar with the area because he currently resides in the Bronx and only recently moved to New York from Atlanta. They add that he has moderate autism, is very friendly and can communicate.
Needom is described as being about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 120 pounds with a scar on the back of his head. He was last seen wearing a light blue polo shirt, dark jeans and striped Jordan sneakers.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
