When the sun is out and the temperature hovers in the 80s and 90s, people who work outside take different measures to beat the heat.
From crossing guards to construction workers, most carry water battles and wear hats to ward off the sun. They say staying hydrated is the most important thing. Many wear sunscreen.
Some people who spend their days driving even keep coolers packed with ice and cold drinks in their vehicles.
Some of the people used to working outside encourage others to watch over neighbors and passersby to make sure they don't look faint or dehydrated.
