Family: Disabled man missing from group home

Family members and friends are desperately searching for a Brooklyn man with mental disabilities who went missing from a group home a week and a half ago.
Police say 50-year-old Edward Freeman walked out of the Lifespire Group Home on the morning of July 20.
Freeman is severely disabled and can't communicate verbally.
A manager from the Lifespire Home says that Freeman sneaked out through an unalarmed door. He says that their staff has put up fliers and searched hospitals.
Freeman is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and gray-striped pajama pants. He also wasn't wearing any shoes.
Officials are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
