Heavy storms cause power outages
Heavy storms Thursday left hundreds of people in the borough without power.
The storms brought strong gusts of wind and rain, causing a lot of damage. Tenants along Nostrand Avenue and Farragut Road in East Flatbush were without power as of Thursday night.
Con Edison says about 280 customers lost power.
The Office of Emergency Managements says it hopes power will be fully restored by Friday morning.
