Medical marijuana dispensaries coming to NYC

State health officials have announced that four New York City companies will operate medical marijuana dispensaries, including one in the Bronx.
The program, which is expected to begin next year, will only be available to patients with certain diseases, including AIDS, cancer and Lou Gehrig's disease.
The marijuana will only be available in edible or vaporized form.
Officials say 43 organizations submitted applications to receive a medical marijuana license. Four were selected as dispensaries and a fifth will serve as a manufacturing facility.
