People across Brooklyn who aren't keeping cool inside with air conditioning are doing all they can to beat the heat outdoors.
In Carroll Gardens, residents headed to a favorite neighborhood spot for ice cream and milkshakes.
Customers beat the heat at the Brooklyn Farmacy with egg creams, milkshakes and ice cream sodas.
Elsewhere, children enjoyed the playground in a shaded part of the park or running around in the sprinklers.
