Fire breaks out at Williamsburg gas station

An investigation is underway into what started a fire at a gas station in Williamsburg early this morning.

Fire officials say the fire started at around 2:30 a.m. in the repair shop attached to the Gulf gas station on 392 Leonard St.

News 12 Brooklyn is told that firefighters were pulled from the building out of fear that it would collapse, forcing them to fight the blaze from the outside.

The fire is now under control.
