The popular music artist Rihanna visited the Macy's in Downtown Brooklyn Monday to promote the launch of her new fragrance.
She celebrated with a meet and greet with local fans -- provided that they bought the scent.
The first 400 people to buy her perfume were to be given VIP passes to meet her at the event. At the end of the day, there were some passes left over.
The crowd went wild outside as she arrived. Some self-described "superfans" say they camped outside on Friday just to make sure they got to meet her.
The scent is called "Riri," which is also a nickname she uses.
