Youth football team practices in the dark; fights for park lights
A Brooklyn youth football program has been practicing at night, sometimes with no lights, for over a decade.
Lloyd Rodriguez, head coach and program director of the Brooklyn Pitbulls, has been fighting to get lights installed at Commodore Barry Park in downtown Brooklyn.
Parents and coaches have resorted to bringing generators and makeshift lights to practice, but they say it isn't enough.
Public advocate Letitia James says there is too much work to be done on the park itself to allocate money toward lights.
