A debate is brewing between Albany and the City Council over funding for the MTA.
Two councilmembers say the city shouldn't pay more than the $657 million already allotted toward the agency, but Gov. Andrew Cuomo says lawmakers need to cover about $3.2 billion.
An MTA spokesman also says the city should pay more, noting that more than 90 percent of all riders live in the five boroughs.
