Block Watch app takes crime fighting to new level
Residents in Brooklyn who want to help fight crime can now have an active role, thanks to a new app called Block Watch.
Block Watch is available on iTunes or Google Play. It allows users to take a picture or record a crime. When the user is done the app automatically alerts every user.
Creator Christopher Peguero says the goal is to inform police and have them work together with the community.
Peguero says the great thing about the app is that it's free and the user is anonymous.
