No cold feet for couple married in blizzard
A Bronx assistant district attorney and her fiance had their winter wedding during the second-biggest snowstorm to ever hit New York City.
Stephanie Schneider, the prosecutor, married her fiance Matthew Schwartz Saturday. They live in Brooklyn Heights.
The couple says guests were getting cold feet about coming out in the middle of the historic storm.
They held the ceremony even though friends and family members called and texted that the bad weather gave them trouble getting to the venue -- Battery Gardens in Battery Park.
And despite the couple's determination, the city almost canceled the wedding anyway.
Schneider says the Department of Parks and Recreation told the venue to close down, but relented when the manager refused.
"I could not have asked for a better ending to that day," she says.
