Ceremony honors families of slain NYPD officers

The Borough President's Office honored a group of NYPD officers Thursday who were killed in the line of duty.
The families of slain detectives Rafael Ramos, Wenjian Liu and Randolph Holder received citations of appreciation from a representative of Eric Adams, the borough president. The family of another slain detective, Brian Moore, could not attend, but officials gave another citation in his honor.
Adams could not attend the ceremony because he was out of the country at the time.
The Clergy Council of the 75th Precinct arranged the function.
The council also thanked JetBlue Airways, which flew out-of-town family members and police officers from around the country to the funerals free of charge.
