New Parkarr app helps drivers share parking spots

Looking for street parking in Brooklyn? There's an app for that.

Parkarr, designed by Robyn Gerber, allows iPhone users to seek or list open parking spaces.

The app allows drivers to mark available addresses, notify other users when they're leaving a spot and even alert users to alternate-side street parking rules.

Although there's no app for Android devices yet, users can use Parkarr's functionality on its website.

Gerber says the app is free and currently has about 1,000 users. Parkarr launched at the end of January.
