The Dream Street Theatre company is looking to raise funds from the community to keep the troupe alive.
It is a nonprofit organization that has been growing a community of performers for around 18 years, organizers say. The company was created to give special needs actors a platform to grow using music, movement and performance.
The theatre has 30 actors whose ages range from 18 to 45. Over the years they have performed more than 60 plays, musicals and improvisation pieces.
Organizers hope the community will come together and help with funding so they can keep the theatre alive.
