Police: Commuter stabbed on Brooklyn N train over phone

A man is recovering after he was stabbed on a train over his iPhone, according to police.
Police say a young man stabbed the victim on a Brooklyn-bound N train at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center stop and ran off with the phone around 11:30 a.m. Friday. The suspect got away.
The victim, a 33-year-old man, was transported to New York Methodist Hospital in stable condition. He is expected to be OK.
Commuter Dominic Purcell says incidents like this remind him to always be aware of his surroundings and the behavior of others on trains.
According to a witness, detectives searched nearby garbage cans for evidence.
