A 16-year-old girl was shot and killed in the Vanderveer Houses Tuesday, according to police, and her boyfriend has been labeled a possible suspect.
According to police, the incident turned a sixth-floor apartment into a gruesome crime scene around 6 p.m.
Authorities responded to a call about shots fired and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds and losing consciousness.
They rushed her to a hospital, where she eventually died.
Police did not immediately release the boyfriend's name. They also withheld the victim's name pending notification of her family.
