Gov. Andrew Cuomo announces creation of monument to honor victims of LGBT violence

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the creation of a monument dedicated to all LGBT lives lost to violence.
The governor's office is appointing a committee consisting of members of the New York LGBT community to generate recommendations, design and install the future monument.
Cuomo says it's no surprise to him that New York is leading the charge when it comes to inclusion and equality.
He says recommendations for the new monument are expected by the end of this year.
