Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run on Grand Street
A bicyclist was fatally struck in a hit-and-run early Saturday morning in Williamsburg.
Police say it happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. in front of 690 Grand St.
They say when officers arrived they found a 35-year-old man in the street with severe injuries to his body.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say he was struck by a black Chevy Camaro sedan with tinted windows.
The victim has not yet been identified.
Police are tracking down surveillance video from the area as they search for the driver. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
