Brooklyn Muslims celebrate the end of Ramadan
The Chand Raat festival on Coney Island Avenue Tuesday marked the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Muslims traditionally join up with friends and family at sundown for prayers and to break the month's daytime fasting for the last time and begin a three-day celebration.
But in the Middle East, violence marred the last week of Ramadan this year.
There was a visible police presence in the area Tuesday to boost security.
