Black Lives Matter march held in Fort Greene
Parents, children and elected officials came together in Fort Greene for a Black Lives Matter march Sunday.
Participants marched peacefully, many of them holding signs with pictures of those who have lost their lives to the use of force by police.
The march started in Fort Greene Park and ended at the Barclays Center.
The event was organized by two moms from P.S. 11.
They say the goal was to create a space for children to express themselves on what they have seen lately about the deaths of black men at the hands of white officers.
The organizers say the event was unique because children were involved and were vocal about the violence they have seen.
