Pregnant Brooklyn woman falls on train tracks
A pregnant woman was rescued after falling onto subway tracks in Bensonhurst at the 71st Street D train stop around 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the woman suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed onto the rails, but was saved by fellow straphangers moments before the next train pulled in. Police say the 33-year-old woman is 36 weeks pregnant, and was transported to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition and later released.
This comes just two days after another woman was rescued after falling onto subway tracks in the Bronx, but that woman was injured because she touched the electrified third rail.
