Officials seek public’s help in identifying slain woman in Fort Greene
There are new clues being released by investigators as they work to identify a woman shot dead at the Whitman Houses.
A woman was found shot in the head, leg and arm just after midnight Thursday.
Police are now continuing to ask for the public's help in identifying who she is by releasing five photos of the victim's tattoos, including flames and mushrooms on her left forearm and Jonathan and Serenity on her upper torso.
The shooting sparked outrage among community activists and elected officials.
Despite temperatures pushing triple digits, gun control activists were out for over an hour saying they would not let any type of weather prevent them from getting their message across.
In their latest efforts, activists are pushing for new funds to provide better lighting and security at the NYCHA development.
