Police ask public for help finding robbery suspect

Police are asking residents to help them find a man who they say is connected to multiple robberies this month around Coney Island.
They say that on July 6, a suspect approached a 25-year-old victim near the Riegalman Boardwalk around 2:30 p.m., punched them in the face and then ran off with their cellphone.
A similar incident happened again on July 18. Police say a suspect punched a 53-year-old woman and took her cellphone around 2:45 p.m.
Police believe the suspect is pictured in a video they have. The video shows the man walking along West 25th Street and Riegalman Boardwalk. Minutes later, he's seen running back with something in his hands.
The man is described as around 18 to 20 years old, 5 foot 7 inches with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, dark-colored jeans and red sneakers.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
