Fire truck responding to call crashes in Crown Heights

A fire truck responding to a fire crashed into an SUV in Crown Heights this afternoon.
According to investigators, the fire truck had its lights and sirens on when running a red light at New York Avenue and Bergen Street around 1 p.m. when it crashed into the SUV.
Firefighters say the driver, who had a green light, said that they did not see or hear the fire truck coming.
Three people were inside the SUV when it was hit and one person had to be extracted by firefighters. All three were taken to Kings County Hospital, but their injuries are not considered serious.
Authorities say the fire truck stayed at the scene of the accident and other fire trucks responded to the original call.
