Residents of the Broadway Triangle in South Williamsburg and North Bed-Stuy took to the streets with the area's community board yesterday, urging the city to move forward with urban renewal plans.

Community members say pharmaceutical company Pfizer broke its promise of affordable housing and jobs after its plant shut down two years ago. The community board has since sued the company and says the city has ignored its desire for change.

"We've never asked for anything more from the city other than for them to restart the process, listen to this community, hear our ideas, and include us in the process," said coalition leader Juan Ramos yesterday at the rally.

The New York City Law Department says while members of the community board met with top officials from the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, they never submitted any of their own proposals.
